Having not been to the gym regularly for over about a year now due to lack of time I have become unfit and abit flabby in places.

I have asked my dp to babysit one night a week so that I can get out and do something, as a gym wouldn't be worth the money for 1 night per week I was thinking I might take up Kick Boxing but have no idea what to expect. Need some reassurance, is it difficult - will I be a quivering aching wreck by the end of the first session?

you will be a quivering aching wreck by the end of the first session but you will see great results very quickly.
It does depend on your instructor though.

I love it, one night a week and I was toning up everywhere.

Excellent that's what I want - used to have a nice flat tummy and tight bum.. not anymore!

Instructor is some world champion guy so a bit scary.. eek I think I will be doing a 6 week programme which gets me up to beginner level so some of the peopel in the class may have been there 6 weeks already, I am quite scared actually but it's something I've wanted to try for a while.

Do you still go eefs?

What style is it you're doing? I used to do Lau Gar Kung Fu, for about 5 years. That was a long time agao. It didn't fit in well with shifts. Hope you enjoy it.
