Engraving an ipod

Ok so I'm still going on with this but I'm a bit stuck. Following the suggestion of buying the ipod through Apple so I can have the free engraving I have spent all week trying to find a good quote (see other thread). I keep coming back to "If music be the food of love, play on"... but I'm just not convinced its DH. Although I do think its great for an IPOD. The more I think about it the more convinced I am that DH would like the quote from Richard Rogers about walking through cities - RR is his hero and cities is his thing. It would be perfect. But........ its too long. 99 characters and I am allowed 54!

So what do I do? I could forget the quote. I would stick with the shorter quote. Or I could try to get it engraved elsewhere.
I've emailed apple to see if I can pay for extra and am waiting for a response. Does anyone know if I can get it done elsewhere. I tried phoning a local jeweller but they said it was a different sort of engraving and would damage the IPOD. So how do I find someone to do it for me? Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

what is the whole quote?
could you leave a bit out, or does that ruin the quote?

"Everyone has the right to walk from one end of the city to the other in secure and beautiful spaces"

I have tried to paraphrase it but I'd have to cut it by a third and I don't think it would sound the same.

"walk in secure and beautiful spaces" is quite nice too - gives the hint of the correct phrase without being too wordy, and is a suggestion as well as a quote.

I like it too - but it has moved away from the city thing which is what he works on - city design. Maybe I just need to give up on this one. DH is not even talking to me at the moment so why am I tearing my hair out for him

I think it should be
"to walk in secure and beautiful places"
