Computer help - please!!!!

Can anyone help a bird brain like me?! I want to delete some of the searches I have done on Google (very valid reason why!). In the search box when you type in any letter, it will show all searches beginning with that particular letter. How can I delete either all or specific searches I have done?

Have you got the google toolbar?

Go into Preferences and disable Forms Autocomplete.
Also clear your history, your cache and delete all your cookies. One of these should fix it!

No, haven't got the Google toolbar. Where is Preferences?(told you I was a bird brain!)

My fault hellie - I'm on a Mac and the setup's slightly different
on a PC it's Tools > Internet Options
on the General tab clear your history, delete cookes and delete files, then on the Content tab click Autocomplete and then Clear Forms
