Furniture needed for MIL

My MIL has just moved into a home where she has a nice but smallish room. Unfortunately none of her own furniture will fit and we need to buy her some new stuff such as a couple of chairs, chest of drawers, side table etc. We don't want to go the IKEA route as we are selling her flat so money is not a particular issue but neither do we want to wait the 10 weeks or so that is so often quoted for delivery times. Does anyone know of a good furniture store that can suppply quickly. We live in North London.

Ha\ve you tried Lucas World of Furniture in Aylesbury - I haven't been myself but a colleague of mine swears by it. Otherwise an independent pine shop may be worth a visit.

Jaybee, thanks for your suggestion. I looked at the Lucas World website and it looks v. good. Now, if I can just make the trip up to Aylesbury......!
