Birmingham mnetters help needed re work Christmas night out!

I am part of a widespread regional team at work and our Xmas do is at Zizzi in The Mailbox in Birmingham. I dont know Birmingham at all but need to try and find a suitable location to head for after the meal at Zizzi's - any ideas??

Mixed team and mixed ages there are around 20 of us. Girl who booked the meal has now left the company so need some help!

Lots of bars in the mailbox - Bar Epernay is niiiiice - champagne bar, there is Penny Black's for a more traditional pub.

If you walk along the canal there are a couple of pubs on the way, Tap and Spile, and about 10 mins walk (in heels) you get on to Broad Street where there is every bar/club/pub you could desire.

Personally I would stay in the mailbox, but I am a snob fussy.

Or you could get a cab over to St Pauls's Square - about 5mins in a cab. My fav place to go. There is The Jamhouse which is owned by Jools Holland, which has a live band (expensive, but a good night), The Actress and Bishop bit grungy or The Lord Clifden which is a fab pub.
