benefits- are we entitle?

dp has had to leave work due to bullying from the company owners. I am getting carers allowance of 45pound aweek. we have 3 children aged 3 and under do you know if we are entitle to anything and if so what?

No idea but if you ring your local benefits office they will be able to tell you. It might depend on whether he left his job voluntarily or was sacked.

Was he sacked or did he leave voluntarily? If he was sacked he can get Job Seeker's Allowance.

If you're a renter, you can get housing/council tax benefit.

Are you getting Child Benefit on your kids? You get Carer's Allowance, you should be Disability Living Allowance for your disabled child, too.

he left vol as they gave him displinary coz i was in hospital and he had to look after the kids then they started messing around with his hours making him do at least 18 hours of driving then they started messing around with his pay so he was getting 140 a week 100 for rent and council tax and 40 for fuel leaving us in debt and final straw was the car door fell off and they expected him to either drive to work with out a door on the car or walk which takes 8hrs. And they also accused him of stealing.

Sounds to me like his company are a complete sh@t.

I would go to CAB and get some advice on his employer as well as advice on benefits.

Go to Local Council office and get some forms (or ring them) for housing and council tax benefit. You will be entitled to this even in private or HA accomodation.
