So angry with myself, can't remember anything :(

Didn't know where to put this. My short term memory is stressing me out so much, driving me absolutely round the bend :(

Just for an example, today I've lost my debit card; DP gave it back to me yesterday after popping up to the shop in the morning and I've put it down somewhere. I've searched everywhere and I just can't think where it could be. DP asked me if I went out with it yesterday and now I can't remember if I went out or not. That's just one example of many, every day :(

It's causing arguments with DP who gets really sick of me being careless, but it's not like I'm just dropping things on the floor; I always put them down meaningfully, thinking 'I'll remember it there,' but I never do :(

Anyone have any tips that could help? Any at all. A friend thinks it may be linked to my dyslexia but I've not heard that before.

Ivyandgold.....I have been/can be the same when I am stressed/anxious. Are you feeling stressed/anxious? (apart from about misplacing things). These things are easily done when our minds are processing a million & one things at once.

I do this - I get in a panic and it makes it harder to find stuff. I try to keep a very neat and tidy house to avoid it.

I forgot to say that I have various 'places' Keys go in one place...post etc in another.. In fact I have a notice board that stores keys...letters etc. it's a prevention method for when I am dealing with a teething toddler..sorting out work stuff & doing 100 other things. Juggling our lives can be stressful. But if you feel this is a problem related to health..seek advice from your doctor.
