I'M NOT PREGNANT!!
We're just contemplating it aloud and wondering how we'd cope if we had another one (financially and physically and mentally and emotionally )
I've tried to find info about maternity leave when working part time but I can't find any reliable sources. My situation is that I work 12 hours a week doing one job and 2 1/2 doing another. The 12 hours one earns above the &80(?) I was quoted somewhere on the web as the minimum weekly wage you need to receive to get mat pay but they also mentioned something about working a minimum number of hours- does anybody know what it is?
My employer only offers statutory maternity leave and pay. How would these be affected by my hours and wages?
I'd like to put things in place now so that if I ever do have another baby I don't need to worry- dooes that make sense?
OMG, am I getting broody??!!

you would get 90% of yor weekly earnings if you earn under £110 a week.

What if I earn more than £110 per week? Is that for the 1st 6 weeks only?

Go to tiger.gov.uk it has loads of advice.

If you earn over £82 per week during weeks 17 to 25 of your pregnancy and have worked for the company for at least one more week than you are pregnant you will qualify for 90% of your wages for 6 months or £106 per week for 6 months whichever is lesser, this is SMP.

If you have to use both jobs to qualify then you will have to apply for Maternity Allowance from the job centre which is again 90% or £106 per week but does not come directly from your employer but from the Benefits Agency.

Hope that helps
