MN Shopping challenge... anyone near a Pumpkin Patch store?

OK, my reputation (and that of Mumsnet) hangs on this... Pumpkin Patch have a baby range called "Sliver Stars" and it's all in the sale at the moment. A friend has fallen in love with this and needs to get her hands on a New Born sized "all in one with feet" (that's a bog standard sleepsuit in normal language!).

It's not in stock in our 2 local stores (Croydon & Bromley) and it's not on the website at all. I've assured her that MNers are good at this sort of thing! Can anyone near a PP store pop in and see if they have any? They're reduced to (I think) £4.99. TIA!

iota · 04/01/2006 14:23

Is that the MK one MoH? I would offer but have scalded my foot and am trying not to walk on it

Mascaraohara · 04/01/2006 14:26

Yes Iota, MK one - Just tried to find the number to give them a call as won't be over there until tomorrow afternoon/evening but not on Yell.

iota · 04/01/2006 14:31

the mk store is 01908 695 819

Mascaraohara · 04/01/2006 14:38

Your foot sounds painful, how did you manage that?!

I left the thread thinking ... she scaled her foot, what does that mean... then came back and realised that you had scalded your foot. I'm such a prat.

iota · 04/01/2006 14:48

I poured boiling pasta water on it whilst attempting to drain it - -don't ask me how or why but it was very painful - am hobbling off on the school run now - dh stayed at home yesterday so he could do it.

SoupDragon · 04/01/2006 16:22

You poured boiling pasta water on your foot simply to avoid visiting PPatch? Seems a little drastic to me Sounds horribly painful.

Thank you everyone

Actually SD I poured boiling water on it to avoid going to Tescos -- dh did an internet shop instead ..which should be here in 30 mins

Mascaraohara · 04/01/2006 16:34

Ouch!

Mascaraohara · 04/01/2006 16:38

Just called they said they've got a lot of Silver Star and I needed to describe it.. she asked if it had anything on the front. Do you know what it looks like SD ot have a 'number' for it?

She said some but not all the range is in the sale but if I call back they will put it on one side.

SueW · 04/01/2006 17:21

Wish you'd posted before noon as I've just been into Nottingham and almost walked past the store here.

SoupDragon · 04/01/2006 18:25

Ooooh - nowI've got to remember what it looked like!

Um... IIRC, it's a bog standard white sleepsuit shape with feet, covered in an all over pattern of tiny stars. It might have been ribbed. It's the newborn size she wanted - Bromley only had larger sizes or bizarre things with no legs but a drawstring at the bottom.

SD I've been in meetings all morning and am off to one again in just a minute.

Do you want to call the number Iota has listed on the thread and get them to put it on one side. I will be going shopping around 3pm today so can pick it up for you then.

I will try and check back here at lunchtime
