Any mansfield mums out there, Need advice on area

My first post :)

My fiancee has had a job offer/transfer to mansfield, I do not know anything about the area,

Can anyone please advise, my kids are 4, 8 & 12, I want to live in a nice area with good schools.

It would not be the end of the world if he turned this down, just wandering if anyone can advise on the area.

Avoid blidworth and rainworth, go for ravenshead if you cam afford it.

I'm from Nottingham. Avoid anything on the side nearest St Anns, if you want to be on the safe side. St Anns is forever on the news...
