help, need phone number in holland

Hi everyone,
can somebody help- we need to know how to find a phone number in holland. it is for a police station, they just seem to have an 0800 tyoe number that we can't access from here

Try this - do you understand Dutch? Put in "politie" and the town/area in the green bit. It might just give you your 0800 number again though

this is so hard!
the police just don't seem to be listed.
the thing is that my brother has been missing in amsterdam for nearly 2 years, and we now know that he has a criminal record at the main police station in leidersplein police station
i want to phone them to see if we can get any more details for him, but the number on their website is 0900-- which we cab't use from this country.

My DH has also just been able to find a 0900 number for that station. He has suggested thought that you contact the British Consulate who might be able to give you a number, or contact the police on your behalf. Their contact details are as follows:

i think i will do that, but it will have to be tomorrow as i suppose it is still holiday there
my mum is soo upset that he may be a down and out, but i am relieved he still alive
