I have a double sleigh bed for sale on eBay atm, and someone messaged me asking if I can post it! I don't mind them paying extra to get it collected and delivered but how do you do it, I am guessing the Post office doesn't do huge collection..

I have to say I'd say no!! If it didn't seel this time I'd relist and look into it then. Surely a huge stragetical nightmare!! Parcelforce do bigger parcels, although not that big perhaps!

misdee · 01/01/2006 22:42

no idea. courier? they'd be paying a lot i think. i have plenty of cardboard in my cupboard if you need it. try parcel force in panshanger.

charliecat · 01/01/2006 22:43

You could look on courier sites I suppose but Hmmmmmm maybe toooo big.

NomDePlume · 01/01/2006 22:44

Blimey ! That's one hell of a collection. TBH, I'd only sell it as a buyer collects item. Or I'd tell them to arrange the courier service themselves.

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 22:44

It does come apart, but it has the mattress too.

I did reply saying that if they can arrange the collection and deliverly to themselves, I could do that.

There is no way i would post it & is someone buying a second hand matteress or is it new? Sorry i just could not buy a second hand mattress bed yes.

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 22:51

I did put the mattress up with the bed, its less than a year old. I did put that in the auction. Up to them if they want the mattress as well.

yeah i suppose its each to there own. I would let them sort out the courier delivery if thats how they want to do it, it must cost a fair bit though....

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 22:58

I think it must do, but if they want to do that then who am I to argue. I wouldn't even know where to start for looking for huge collection and elioverly.

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 22:59

*elioverly = deliverly. God what happened there??

Maybe they already know of a parcel service which picks up big items, i have never really looked into it to be honest, but i have used parcels2go to send things like moses baskets not sure what weight they go up to though maybe look on there website.
Hope your bed sells though goodluck

sparklymieow · 01/01/2006 23:01
