does anyone know when the lord mayors show in the city of London is on? I cant remember, i think its next weekend.
If you havent been before its fab, lots of horses ,soldiers, bands,floats etc,the kids love it and me too!

I don't know when it is, but have often thought of going to it with my two sons.

Boo321 or anyone else, any tips on where to stand etc. Do you have to wait around for ages or can you turn up 10 minutes before the start and get a decent view?

10th November this year - it is always the second Saturday in November.
As someone who used to work in the Guildhall, I'd recommend somewhere near the eastern extremity of the route - then you can nip down to Blackfriars Bridge at dusk and get a good view of the fireworks, assuming they're having those as usual this year.

we always go to blackfriars thenwalk to fleet st and sit around for a while on a window sill(piles, watch out).it gets very busy so its worth getting there early.we always go in the morning and get there for about 10ish and its comes past about 11ish.we take a flask of hot choc and biscuits and have had good fun in the past. see you there,i'll be the one with the 4 kids looking hassled...
