my dd2 is a very cute baby, but its her hair that sets her apart from a lot of kids. she has gorgeous brown ringlets, and am also getting stopped in shops etc by people amazed by her hair. i have been thinking for a while now to put her down for modelling, but am still unsure. it will be a lot of travelling into and out of london, and altho i live in herts, i dont fancy the underground with a buggy. i know its a very competivness business, i'm not entirely sure i want my dd exposed to this, it wouldnt bother me if she didnt get work, but it might affect her as she gets older.
my younger sister has recently put her dd down for modelling but had to pay £65 for website design, as she has already had auditions or castings whatever u call them, its seems reputable, but i cant afford 65 quid.
i know all mums think their babys are gorgeous, and i might be siunding daft for saying all this, but dd2 has a lovely temperment to match her cuteness, poses for cameras already and is a very lively happy child.
can anyone offer advice and info on childrens modelling agency in and around north london, and please tell me if i am being mad.

Do a search on past threads as this comes up time and again. My dd's are with MOT Junior based in Berkhampstead, but as you know most of the work is in London and there is a lot of dragging around. All I can suugest is check out www.motjunior.com (or co.uk) unsure which and this has the info. Just remember they get between 20 - 30 photos a DAY, and take on approx one new child a MONTH. You can call them and say you were recommended by one of the mothers, Poppy's mum - which may get your picture looked at. Good Luck, I personally do it, but refuse as much work as we take becasue I simply cannot be bothered/work full-time and don't have teh time to take advantage. If you don't work then it might be OK for you, otherwise it can be a pain in the *
