Hello All,
My name's Nat and I'm going to attempt to join Mumsnet without letting it completely take over my life.
Here are the basics about me. I'll keep it short and sweet so as not to bore you all to death....
I'm 29. Married for eight years to a lovely yank
I'm the mother of Hadleigh (8) and Tom (nearly 4). I was born and raised in Leicester but moved to America as teenager. Am still a Brit through and through.
We are a Navy family and are stationed in America at the moment after living in Italy for three years. I'd love to get orders to England so I could see my family more often and so that my kids could get a real taste of life at home.
I can't wait to get involved in this board, and now I will sign off because I am sounding like an idiot.

lol! you seem to have the mumsnet humour your fit in perfectly! so i take it you have snow!

ExpatNat · 27/12/2005 21:00

No snow at the moment, although we did have quite a bit a few weeks ago. We were hoping it would be a white Christmas though, because my parents were driving up with my sister and nephew (all the way from Arkansas, which is TEN hours of driving) and my other sister and nephew were coming in from New York. All the kids were desperate to go sledding, but it wasn't to be. Still, even without the snow, the kids had a great time!! And I'm sure we'll have more of it soon.
cringing, as don't love snow in the way that my kids do
