Next Sale question

My aunt got me a pair of Next pyjamas for Christmas but, even though they were sold prepackaged, the trousers are 3 sizes smaller than the top.

I've always understood that Next will not do returns during the sale period but do you think they will exchange the wrong-sized half of my jimjams for me, given that they have made a mistake?

I don't see why I should have to wait till after the sale, when they will prob have sold out anyway. Also, will they quibble if I haven't got the receipt? (My aunt lives a long way away).

Last year I took wrong sized knickers back (with no receipt)and changed them during the sale - for slippers that were on sale!
Don't know if they have changed their policy since then, but they should at least do a straight swap for you.

I would argue that the goods are faulty as you cannot wear them that way. They should give you a full refund IMO. I'd get one anyway

Usually refunds are from29/12 as it is so busy 27/28

Dont think they will do it tomorrow.

Why not go to the sale and buy the PJs cheaper then take the faulty ones back and get a credit note for the full price and treat yourself to something else?

Ooh, good thinking, collision! I might do that if I can face the baying mob. Thanks, everyone, for your help & advice .

Go now, I went at 8am and there was loads of sizes 8 & 10, but not much else left! madness.... still managed to spend too much though

Blandmum · 27/12/2005 14:17

They opened at 5! People were queuing from 2 am!!! Madness!

People go and buy tons of stuff in lots of sizes, then try it on at home and return the stuff that doesn't fit, so it's worth going in a day or two, when lots of the other sizes have been returned
