We have moved into temp rental til feb. It has storage heaters which i hate but for 6 months can put up with. Put them on 2 days ago and none work all stone cold. Letting agent sent electrician who tested all fuses and supply etc and said ok He said it must be a meter thing so I rang electric co and they said not their problem!!!! So now I may just forget them and buy some heater that are thermostatic as it is a v small cottage and can be heated up easily. can anyone recommend any that aren't ridiculous to run but will heat up a small living room and ds bedroom?

I love night stirage heaters!

Surely one of the benefits of renting is that someone else has to sort this out? I would contact the LL or agent (whoever is managing it) and tell them politely but firmly that they need to get the heating working sharpish.

as well as the stirage ones, I quite like the storage ones...
