today dh and i played the kids at poker with our new poker set and chips.

we then proceeded to play for their selection boxes.

needless to say dh is a fat bstrd now, but the kids teeth wont be harmed half as much

cluedo tomorrer - never played it before although iknow the principle

you?

what bored the pants off you today? i mean entertained you loads or caused your dh to flounce off like the 12 year old he really is?

dh is ill, that was a bit rubbish. dd still has diarrhoea, just as I'd thought she got over it. I cooked the worst meal I've cooked in years! Tough beef, soggy roast veg, hard potatoes, it was Shite! But hey, at least it was only me and dh and the children here. What a waste of time though: ds didn't want any because he was stuffed with chocolate; dd is ill and didn't want any because she's ill; dh didn't want any because he's ill and it was vile and I was very cross with myself, I'm usually a good cook, I've no idea what happened. Oh well, it's not the end of the world.

Poor you WWW! hope everything is better tomorrow.

I forgot to serve up the roasted parsnips! Found them when I was clearing up

Played Moustrap with the kids and it is every bit as annoying as I remember!

The scooby doo game is pants btw

WickedWinterWitch · 25/12/2005 18:28

I detest Mousetrap, ours is 'lost' Oh, it wasn't that bad, I've had a nice day all in all, I was just a bit surprised at myself for producing such a shocking meal!

Blandmum · 25/12/2005 18:34

Pressure to perform!

It is always the same IMHO. I can knock out a roast dinner with the best of them, but the build up to Christmas day is near impossible to meet, don't you think?

The kids are hyper anyway and by the time I'd cooked the thing, I wanted to go back to bed....dd woke us up at 3! was sent back to bed and was up again at 5! I fell asleep after lunch....how middle aged is that?

Mine have just scoffed sandwitches, had a bath and are looking adorable in their new jimjams and dressing gowns (Primark, what a bargin!) We are all waiting for Dr Who, with pillows to hide behind!

WickedWinterWitch · 25/12/2005 18:35

I fell asleep on the sofa too mb! Ooh, glad you've reminded me about Dr Who, thanks!
