my poor dd ........

this morning she was playing with her balloon it got stuck on top of our dvd cabinet she tried to get it and the whole thing fell on top of her. She cried out mummy help me dh and i ran in to find her underneath the cabinet as i moved the bloody thing i saw all this blood, took her to A&E she had split her chin very deep she has strips onit and they have glues it, she has flu too and is in pain bless. I know i am ranting but i am the level headed one while dh panics about the amout of blood. And i am now just sitting thinking of the amount of damage that could of happend we have about 100-150 dvds in the cabinet and it has glass doors. Thank god she is fine in pain but fine.

Poor little soul. I hope she feels better soon - have you got plenty of Calpol and ibuprofen to give her for the pain?

I know it's bolting the door after the horse has bolted, but you can get special fixings that you can bolt cabinets to the walls with; might be worth investing in some of those just in case she tries the same trick again.

Oh we have dh drilled it too the wall.... but thank you. Dh has just been out and topped up on our meds, it's really hurting she is sleeping at the mo but i can see her wince whike she sleeps... xxx

Thank you for your kind messages. She has woken from her sleep in pain her head is hurting and her jaw. The hospital did say that the bruising would set in ..... she has not been able to eat although chocolate seems to be going down a treat!!!!!

Poor little sausage, I hope all the presents tomorrow manage to cheer her up.
