Dibor
Still chasing over £100 they owe me from last Christmas for goods that never even arrived, despite having been ordered in September 2004.
Furthermore,I was lied to on several occasions (blatant lies, not mere exaggerations) by their sales staff.

National Trust.
Family membership. Despite having done it ol line and receiving a temporary membership card, the transaction nev er went through and the pack will not arrive at the recipients for another three weeks.

But,brilliant service all year round from....

Oka
Bright Minds
Boden

oh enid, that's awful - you poor thing

Enideepmidwinter · 21/12/2005 19:33

feel really depressed about it

it was an old fashioned noahs ark sampler and it took me about 6 months to cross stitch. it had beads on and everything

Clayhead · 21/12/2005 19:35

ELC

Amazon have e-mailed today to say that something I ordered 4 weeks ago and was apparently 'in stock' will now be the end of January.

foxinsocks · 21/12/2005 19:35

oh don't

even I feel upset about it

Did you phone them and try and find out what happened?

Littlewoods extra.

ordered silver ps2 for ds and a silver assessories pack. received silver assessories pack, and told 2 weeks for delivery (beginning Dec) I kept chasing up and getting new dates which never came, finally got the delivery a few days ago and they sent the black ps2, (all our furniture is silver) told me cant get silver one now for a few weeks.

ISawFrannyandZooeyKissingSanta · 21/12/2005 20:12

I think we are all in mourning for your cross stitch, Enid...

shorty3 · 21/12/2005 20:20

boots.com - ordered items, should have been delivered today. Just got an email saying despatched, one item not in stock ( 3 for 2 offer ) not offered replacement item just taking full payment.

Tesco - delivered groceries yesterday, 17 itmes not delivered

Gem13 · 21/12/2005 20:22

Amazon.

merrycompo · 21/12/2005 20:24

Not this year but last year The White Company didn't deleiver in time and then didn't deliver at all - they said they had taken on too many orders so now I don't trust them

merrycompo · 21/12/2005 20:28

I ordered a pair of PJs from Vertabeudat about 2 months ago that still haven't arrived. Luckily they haven't taken any money yet but they will wehn they despatch them (or should that be if!) and ds will probably be too big for them or it will be too warm from fleecy PJs - grrr

saffy202 · 21/12/2005 21:19

Sport4choice - ordered a pair of goalkeeping gloves on the 11th November. Never arrived, emails went unanswered. Up to now they haven't taken any money so managed to find them elsewhere and were cheaper Also Toysrus - ordered a PS2 - screen froze after I put in cc details, but order status showed the order had been submitted to warehouse. Emailed a few times to be told each time they were looking into it - gave up and went to Argos - again cheaper

merrymarchhare · 21/12/2005 21:30

Those who have been let down by Amazon -

I ordered something from Amazon (although it wasnt for Christmas) and have just received an email apologising etc etc that it may not be delivered in time for the big day.

Just happened to scroll down the whole of the email and have been given a £5 voucher. Nearly missed it, so go back and check you email.

Not bad I thought.

gingernut · 21/12/2005 23:04

merrymarchhare, there was no such offer on my e-mail from Amazon .

MARINAtivityPlay · 21/12/2005 23:47

Enid that's really awful.
I had a rubbish experience with Amazon this year...placed a mega-order for about eight presents in November, all items listed as being available within 1-2 weeks and most in fact being 24-hour turnaround. Gets to mid December, date is creeping up to when I clock off from work. So I log in to change the delivery address, and it puts me back to January . I cancelled the order, I didn't have any choice.
They are usually fine at other times of the yeat.

merrymarchhare · 22/12/2005 08:53

gingernut - I have received my order this morning as well. Have a bit of a complain, they might send you something .

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 22/12/2005 09:17

ooo - thank goodness the only mention of play.com on this thread is that they're excellent - I've just ordered DH's 2nd half of his Christmas Present from them (yes I know it's rather late LOL) and it says it'll be dispatched within 24hrs........hoping it'll get here in time for Christmas.......

Yep, Amazon... it's their lying that gets me!

Denied receiving payment even though gone from
account- contacted with all the details, they admitted receiving payment. Said would be posted Dec 18th (a month after payment received) but I knew they were out of stock from research I had done

E-mail received 18th to say despatched to my OLD address

Contacted and they offered immediate refund (but by cheque that wouldn't clear until after chrsitmas so couldn't afford to replace this gift until then), or despatch- FEBRUARY!

Quite clear they never despatched at all, they'd hardly refund after would they?

It's not a tenner either.... £94 (Nintendo DS) on a Student Grant is a lot of acsh to have saved.

Really dissapointed . DH sold his treasured GBA a while back s we were strapped and he has let me give up work to go to Uni, was really excited about replacing it with something bigger and better. Instead have had to tape a picture of it to a selection pack for opening on the day.

buggers.

poppyh · 22/12/2005 10:36

Two Left Feet
Utterly rubbish.Sent pushchair back as they didnt tell you online it was only suitable from 6 months.
Waited 3 Months for refund which bank had to sort out as they do not answer emails.
Would NEVER use them again.

grammaticus · 22/12/2005 11:44

LETTERBOX

Ordered on 14.11.05 - named stuff for cousins, childrens' friends etc. Told me yesterday it wasn't coming until january - fat lot of good that is! Did grovel and refund me but (very) small consolation for having to hit the shops for 8 presents in the height of the rush...
