My MIL is childminding for me today and as we were there for supper last night my DD stayed the night. How strange did it feel this morning!!
I got up an hour later than usual - while DP was in shower I drank my cup of tea in bed and read a few pages of my book. Then DP left for work and I was all alone in the house. Part of me really hated it. It was great to have so much time to myself and stuff, I was early for work etc etc but those few moments in the house on my own made me realise how empty my life would be without DD in it. I can't wait to have her back and be running around like a headless chicken again tomorrow morning!

I know what you mean. I have the same feeling every night when dd and ds have gone to bed. I often can't wait to get them into bed and have a quite hour, but as soon as they are asleep the house feels so empty and I miss them alredy.....

hi Thomcat, my dd dtayed at my mams last night and dp and i went out for a meal! I got up, had a shower,a coffee and sat watching Kilroy.........it was lovely but i went to get her at 9.30 as i was missing herIt's nice to do it once in a while though isn't it?

Yeah it was great but I still really missed her this morning. It literally felt as if something huge was missing - and it was!

When we were leaving her there last night DP's bottom lip stuck out and he he said 'oh, she's not coming with us... come on let's go up and have a little look at her before we go'. Not being with her just really made us appreicate how much we enjoy being with her.
