One of the things i have bought for my 7 yr old Ds is a Spirograph - you know the things with wheels and cogs that make patterns on paper.
Well last night Dh informed that he thought it "too girly" for a boy.
Just wondered what anyone else thought, is it too girly? I only got it because he loves drawing

my dp boight ds one for his 8th birthday and he really liked it, ds was and is very much into making arty patterns

my brother had one, he loved it, and he was very technically minded. I think boys love to know how things work, and combining this with a known love of drawing is a winner!

So far so good then, people agree with me.

I don't think it's girlie either - me and my (male) cousins had one each when we were kids and they liked theirs far more than I liked mine!

All the schoolchildren I childmind love it, girls and boys.
