Does anyone know the posting dates are for 1st class letters please?

Christmas post dates

The Royal Mail has confirmed its final delivery dates for this year's Christmas post.

To ensure cards and packages arrive on time the company advises special delivery items be sent no later than December 22. First class post should be sent by December 20 and second class no later than December 17.

IME you can post things 2nd class up to 22-23/12 and they'll still get through.

In any case I quite like getting odd cards through after Christmas, instead of nothing for days - not that I'm sending stuff to myself you understand!

I have been so stupid. I posted 80 of m&s vouchers in a big christmas card as queue was too long and i had the girls with me. do you think they will be stolen. Oh please be honest post people and let them get there ok. was going to do recorded delivery. i am so stupid. sorry for some reason cannot start a new thread. Everyone will my vouchers to get there ok!?!

am sure it'll be fine pud, they cant steal everything that looks like a card just on the off chance it might have something good in it! i have also been sent cash a few times for ebay things and it has arrived no problem

Yes, I'm sure the vouchers will get there fine. We have a notoriously bad postal service in this area yet I haven't had cash or cheque's go missing yet.
