New mumsnetter or new name?

Is it just me or is anyone else confused by all the name changes recently?

I can't work out if people are new or they've just changed their name.

Would it be possible to have a list of the changes here? Before my head explodes. Please???

Why have they changed their names then told everyone who they were in the first place I just don't get that?

I guess its their prerogative isn't it? It's not like it matters!

I was toying with changing mine to something a bit shorter perhaps

Sorry folks ! It looks like I am everyones favorite Mumsnet name changer

My name started as Wickedstepmother, but it changed to WSM as it was much shorter and people abbreviated it anyway. FineVintage arose from a conversation with another Mumsnetter about my age, I liked the sound of it and so it stuck. I'm pretty sure that SamboM/Countess D arose from a similar situation.

is that the samboM and Countess Dracula from swlondon meetups? i changed my name when someone from ds's toddler group shouted across the room "are you the xxxx from mumsnet?" i could have died of embarassment. not so much that i had been posting dodgy messages, but that it really gave the impression i spend all day surfing! (of course i don't )

Some changed very discreetly (for personal reasons) as I remember and may not want this highlighted (again).
