do you re-do your christmas tree after the kids have gone to bed? Just found 5 stars all on the same branch - needs some radical work

LOL spent about an hour last night after dd had gone to bed redoing the xmas tree after she helped me dress it. Then the first thing she said this morning when she came down was "that wasn't how I did it last night, this should be here..." etc etc and rearranged it

Nope - put it up last Saturday - and everthing is still exactly where I it was put !

WigWamBam · 16/12/2005 20:17

No, because dd would notice and the resultant tears and tantrums wouldn't be worth the hassle!

I warned them that I might have to move "a couple" so that we could still see everything when we put the sofa back. I think I might just have wangled it. We'll see what they say in the morning!

We have such an ancient and complicated hotch-potch of decorations our tree is far from tasteful anyway, and I always appreciated being able to say "well the kids did it"!

They are quite old now of course (the kids) but after DH and I have spent an hour or so swearing about getting it more or less perpendicular, my job is merely to put the lights on and then stand back while whoever wants to throws decorations at it. Quite restful really.
