We're trying to create a logo for our new business but don't know where to start. does anyone have any useful info?
I saw something on another thread about a site where you can download different fonts but I can't find it now. Does you know where it is?

Thanks.

dp is an expert on this...

He says most font sites charge money, and most free ones are a bit, well, crap.

He says the best free one is fontfreak

But probably your best bet is to buy a cheap 1001 fonts CD. Or better still, get Photoshop, or a similar graphics package (old versions are often free on magazines) - then you can bend the text and play with it a bit. They take a bit of getting used to, mind you!

Finally you could pay a freelancer to do it - price would depend on how picky you are, but they don't have to cost £100s. What is the business (out of nosiness) ?

I use a couple of sites called Acid fonts and Larabie fonts, both of which are free. The details are on my work computer, but you should find them if you do a Google.

Thanks , we had a look at all of these and decided to give the task to a friend who enjoys messing around with photoshop ( we don't have it).
