Help, we are missing all the fun and ds is getting bored (and destructive)

Dd came down with chickenpox yesterday. More spots seem to be appearing all the time. Consequently she couldn't go to nursery today, so I couldn't take ds to his toddler group Christmas Party.

Dd was fine all day, lounging on the settee watching Tweenies Christmas & Noddy videos but ds was a little horror.

Whilst I was washing the dishes he climbed up and threw a fish out of the tank onto the floor. He had a huge tantrum when I was trying to help dd make some decorations (he kept throwing all her crayons everywhere). Now I know why I don't stay in with him but always take him out to activities.

We are going to be missing the Sing & sign class party on Saturday and the NCT party on Monday too.

I'm going to have a fun couple of weeks arn't I and of course he might come down with it too?

Long drive?

trip out during weekday/school hours to a deserted bit of seaside/parkland/countryside where you are unlikely to bump into anyone?

no need to keep the one with chicken pox out of contact with other people after 5 days of the spots being there. however the one with out it could be incubating for almost 3 weeks before you can be sure they do not have it.
