Things getting smaller as one gets older

I went to London Zoo on Sunday and I was so surprised at how small it now seems. When I was little and my mum and dad used to take me, we spent a whole day there and still felt we didn't get to see everything.

I know they had more animals - polar bears (still makes me sad to think of them pacing up and down non-stop), pandas (Chi Chi and Cha Cha), elephants (sadly, I had forgot they had been moved).

We got there about 1 pm and left at 5 pm and still felt we prolonged the visit.

I know what you mean. Felt EXACTLY the same last summer when I took my two boys there.

The summer before we took Ds1 to the model village near Beaconsfield and I was stunned. When i was young I could have sworn it was set over acres - but I'm sure it would fit in our back garden now. It was absolutely tiddly !!!!

Perhaps it is a perspective thing.

Bumblelion, did you go through the tunnel to the other side? Did you go to the web of life? You probably did! It can be spun out with the shop, cafe, merry-go-round, they usually have fun lectures/displays at weekends and they USED to have a fantastic dolphin simulator which has gone My ASD son loved the dophin simulator and I could tell any clever-clogs that we'd done dolphin therapy!!!
