I take it you don't have any canned tomatoes or even baked beans to put in it?

mazzystar · 14/12/2005 15:56

can you not just add more tomatos? and do more pasta?

noddyholder · 14/12/2005 15:57

I have baked beans

OP posts:
sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 15:57

then you're laughing

good luck

mazzystar · 14/12/2005 15:57

yes, better

noddyholder · 14/12/2005 16:01

Really don't you think beans would make it too sweet?

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 16:02

have you got any Lea and Perrins sauce? that would add a nice counterpoint

are they marking you for Michelin stars? Just tell them "yer dinner's on the table" and make them be grateful

noddyholder · 14/12/2005 16:06

you're right they're lucky to get fed

OP posts:
sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 16:06

they are
I only asked you not to do the Baxters thing for the sake of the collective palate and standards of decency

followthestarlover · 14/12/2005 16:07

ditto mazzystar about extra pasta..

and give them some bread and butter to go with it

followthestarlover · 14/12/2005 16:08

and if you ahve any other veg.. chuck that in too!

moondog · 14/12/2005 16:08

Beans?????!!

Barf!

More onions and tomatoes, even whatever veg you have lying around but fgs no tinned soup and no beans.

(Suzy, you seem to have Proustian longings for all matters of British crap. Dunno why, combination of your dh's origins and living in Oz should mean you're eating better than 95% of people.)

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 16:09

throw the woman a bone here, moondog, she cant' go to the shops and it could have been soup

TBH Australian food has been something of a disappointment on the whole and in a dramatically perverse way I can't bear Chinese food

crunchie · 14/12/2005 16:10

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 16:12

followthestarlover · 14/12/2005 16:16

crunchie · 14/12/2005 16:17

Add a splash of worcester sauce or some marmite

Anyway what does it taste like?

Kelly1978 · 14/12/2005 16:22

i think beans is nice with mince. prob not brilliant when they the kind in tomato sauce tho. Def add the worcester sauce.

moondog · 14/12/2005 16:29

When I was at boarding school, the meal that would make me heave (and which I never touched in seven long years inside) was mashed 'potato',beans and mince.

That wasn't food,it was a sick joke.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 14/12/2005 16:31

dd2 has baked bean lasagne at nursery

colditz · 14/12/2005 16:42

Don't put marmite in it. Please don't put marmite in it.

Lea and Perrins is ok.
