grrrrrrrrr soo angry. Ordered shopping last week to be delivered today as am going into hospital to be induced tommorow so wanted to make sure ds and my sister had food in. According to my online statement the money is there but asda are getting my card knocked back. I have no other way of paying at all and am now stuck without food. We dont even have much milk/bread nevermind anything else. Am soo bloody annoyed but nothing I can do about it.

Ok now I am really confused the delivery driver just phoned to say he will be here in 5mins. So I stupidly asked him if my card had now gone through and he didnt have a clue what I was talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

munz we have just set up seperate accounts this week but the switch card is from my old one which has the last of my money in it.

ooh don't know then, it was def someone in asda u spoke to wasn't it? have a look at the receipt when he comes. did she read details out to u or did u to her?

as for the b/a fraid I don't know thta either as we'd already set up the new a/c and stopped using the old one b4 we went down the debt management route on their advice. have u rang ur bank to see the funds are avaliable?

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 12:24

they read the details out to me including the shopping order no. So am now sitting here watching for the van to find out if I have been stressed for no reason.

OP posts:
munz · 14/12/2005 12:26

(was just wondering if they were actually from asda in the first place and not someone ringin to confirm ur details so they could use ur card elsewhere.)

fingers crossed all ok.

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 12:32

ok no shopping as yet!!!

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 12:34

munz · 14/12/2005 12:38

is it all ok?

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 12:57

ffs...am now a blubbering wreck. Bloke turned up with shopping so I said has it been authorised. He said he had no idea so I called the shopping centre again. Who told me it had been so accept delivery, meanwhile someone on his phone told him it hadnt so dont hand over the shopping. Meanwhile Ds is asking the man for some food. So the delivery driver goes again with the food. So phone back the asda people in tears who tell me it has now been authorised and she is trying to contact the delivery driver to return my bloody food. In the mean time I am bloody sobbing and feel shit. Could do without this stress of not knowing if we have food in for tea. When I got through to bank they said they didnt know why it was being declined!!!!!!!!!!!11

((((((((hugs)))))))

demand you want free delivery - at the v least.

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:10

Right it is now being redelivered at 2pm. Have taken the address to write to the headoffice. Probably wont use them again after this am soo angry and upset. Poor ds has to have a toast for his lunch as I literally have nothing in.

Ok I am now seething...once the hormonal tears stopped!!! So do I write my complaint letter now or do I wait until I see what turns up on my order

hunkermunker · 14/12/2005 13:23

Oh, FFS! In your position, I'd probably contact my local paper - leaving a heavily pg woman and toddler with no shopping is Not On.

hunkermunker · 14/12/2005 13:23

That FFS was at Asda, btw - bastards!

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:28

lol thanks hunker. They have just phoned to say my food is now back on its way!!!!!!!1 Will just wait till its all in my cupboards before I get excited..lol

munz · 14/12/2005 13:40

never mind HO nemo - it must come from ur local store i'd get onto them. most definatly. bloody cheek. after all this u should have at least ur del charge refunded. have u rung the online help desk ppl?

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:42

munz i did phone the help desk people and it is the home shopping call centre not the store who have done all the messing around. Store have been great its just the people in the call centre who have done all the faffing around.

Hi Nemo. Will ask my sister for the name of the person who dealt with her complaint. She got her shopping refunded and £100.

Will email her now.

munz · 14/12/2005 13:44

excuse the term here but they sound as much use as t**s on a goldfish! lol.

have they offered u any form of compensation for ur trouble? - have u checked online to make sure only one lot went out?

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 14/12/2005 13:44

It could be a fault at the bank - I had this a few weeks back - a rare occasion I was able to go shopping and do a 'big' shop instead of £5 here, £5 there. Got to Wilkinsons (after checking at the bank that the money was there) and the card wouldn't work. Tried again, and a 3rd time - still wouldn't work. Went to the instore cash machine - wouldn't work. Panicked like hell - and dashed back off to the Halifax.......only to discover their computers had crashed! They kept coming on for about 3 minutes, and then crashing again - so there wa sa huge queue of us depserately trying to get money out in the 'windows' of opporutnity. (i didn't want to take the cash out - I prefer to only spend what I need).

Of course by thte afternoon- once I'd done all my shopping - they started working again.

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:44

thanks mars. I am not expecting much back its just soo frustrating when bank were saying that money was there so no idea what asda were playing at.

OP posts:
MarsyChristmas · 14/12/2005 13:46

btw... don't ask for your delivery to be refunded yet. Otherwise they may decide that you have had the compensation that you want.

My sister is probably at lunch. I don't know if she has the details on her work computer, so I may not be able to get it for you until this evening.

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:47

QoQ when I got through to bank they said they had no idea why it was declined as the money was available.
What has annoyed me more wiht asda is the its authorised its not authorised bit to the point of my delivery sitting on my door step and me not actually being able to take it in!!!

OP posts:
Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 13:48

mars whenever is great am just going to write it all down but doubt will be doing anything with it today. I havent asked for anything back and nobody has offered...just lots of apologies.
