I got burgled today

Tis true, they broke in through a downstairs window, trashed lots of drawers and cupboards and stole......40 Euros, that's it, nothing else.

They somehow managed to mess up the burglar alarm, so have had police, glazier and burglar alarm man here during this evening.

Who needs it?

Think I'll move to a crime-free zone, anyone know of one?

definitely get it attached to the station - it doesnt cost that much and the police are really good at coming out. we have our attached.

We are with ADT, it is not cheap, but not madly expensive IYKWIM.........about £28.00 a month....I wanted an alarm once we bought a detached house, detached with an acre, I probably would have bought two hungry guard dogs as well

Sorry, meant to say it goes through to an alarm receiving centre, the bells ring in the house, not on the road, so can go forever so to speak....We had a few false alarms, so now the RC ring me and if I don't think it is the cleaner or the ironing lady, then I authorise the police. The last time the Police were very impressive, young fit and with flak jackets and they scaled the side entrance.......my neighbour was most impressed.

you can also have a panic button which is really good if you are in the house when a burglary takes place. we also have almost and acre - there is a bit of a theme going here.

Corks cam I missed this too. I'm really sorry you've had so much disruption and hassle. I have never got over us being burgled when I was 10, I am pretty phobic about it.
