Breast milk soap, would you buy some?!

I'm finally buying my ingredients tonight online and need to know how much to buy lol... if someone offered you breastmilk soap would you really buy some? It'll be home made from 100% natural ingredients by the old fashioned cold press method which involves hard work and 2-3 weeks 'curing'...

for a 200 gram bar I'd want £2.50 and 60p postage...

It'll contain lovely yummy cinammon and coconut oil too... so would anyone want any (bearing in mind it won't be ready for weeks yet!)

[The breastmilk is milk that has been turned down by my milkbank due to the fact that I had a cold when producing it - this in no way makes the soap icky as the chemical process in soap making pretty much pasteurises it anyway]

Er... no, I don't think I would. For no logical reason whatsoever, I find the idea of someone elses' breastmilk icky!

Just sell it as "milk"

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 12/12/2005 19:17

('it' being the soap..)

PantomimEDAMe · 12/12/2005 19:18

No, sorry! Too personal.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 19:18

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 19:19

I don't think I'd buy breastmilk soap, tbh.

Twiglett · 12/12/2005 19:19

noddyholder · 12/12/2005 19:20

Sleighmenere · 12/12/2005 19:20

Em - no .Why do you think this will sell?

Twiglett · 12/12/2005 19:21

placenta pie anyone?

jinglinggoblin · 12/12/2005 19:21

no, sorry. milk soap i wouldnt have a problem with (i know that makes no sense). do you have to specify breast milk? i would worry that you may find a ..erm...'niche' market in certain types of adult shop

noddyholder · 12/12/2005 19:22

OMG I must be odd then

overdrafttopayforchristmas · 12/12/2005 19:24

Daisys husband might be up for some

zippimistletoes · 12/12/2005 19:24

no, give it to relatives for christmas, with some nice photo packaging and a handwritten message

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 19:24

Moooooooo!

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 19:25

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 19:25
Shock
FastasleepInAManger · 12/12/2005 19:26

Oh, sorry I just didn't want to tip 7 litres of hard work down the sink... another hair brained scheme from fastasleep shot down in flames, nevermind

OP posts:
zippimistletoes · 12/12/2005 19:26

for some reason (probably with reference to the shower soap and shampoo dispenser) I immediately imagined it fashioned as breasts

as for photos there are two options

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 19:27

ROLF! Sorry fastasleep!

NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 19:28

Oh, fasta, it would be a shame to get rid of 7 litres () of breastmilk, but if there isn't a market for it then it would be a real shame to waste money on ingredients for the soaps as well as the milk.

Nightynight · 12/12/2005 19:28

youre all being foul
but I did warn you that you'd become a MN legend fastasleep!

tbh, I wouldnt advertise the breast milk aspect, as it sounds wierd, though perfectly logical when you know the whole story.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 12/12/2005 19:29

I don't think it's an entirely daft idea - you just don't have to specify what sort of milk it is...!

zippimistletoes · 12/12/2005 19:29

sorry

Iim sure Hugh fearnley Whittingstall types would buy it,
