Anyone else on the 4.30 - 5.30 melt down?

I get to 4.30, and just want to crawl into bed and sleep for an hour... DH doesn't get in until 5.30 ish... DD is bored and wanting to play (and not watch the cbeebies I have so kindly put on).

So... I tend to hide here and wish the world would go away.

I'm assuming its not just me - anyone else out there???

Can't even get motivated and cook tea because I need to go to the shops first, and I'm not taking DD!!!

Hiya Flame - yep I can totally identify with you. All is quiet currently but about 20 mins ago had DS1 having a tantrum because I asked him to tidy up a bit and DS2 screaming because he was hungry!!! DS1 now co vering table with glue and bits of junk, but at least he is quiet - can feel a glass of wine coming on ....

PS - Hope you are better now by the way.

Yes, much better now thanks. I think the headache was left over from the migraine I had last Sunday, and the sickness was just that the baby apparantly doesn't like mexican!!! Once the mexican was gone, my stomach was fine again.

I might be forced to buy some wine when I get to the shops... I've discovered that Rose is kind on the heartburn

I'm with you. For some reason my energy levels dip just at the time ds gets home, and I could do with a nap.

i'm with you too. I used to call it the suicide hour - just before tea time. have always had enough by 4.30, just want to get them fed and into bed. I opened a bottle of wine 10 mins ago and dh has just come in so can start to unwind a bit......

Blossomgoodwill · 12/12/2005 17:54

Nightmare here too. Ds (7) and dd (6) have been fighting non stop and been generally hyper

Roll on 7 when they are in bed (bad mother alert)

Taking shelter at work (and obviously achieving greatness ? it can only be a matter of time before they put me on the back of a ten pound note).
