I mean the electrical retailer not the things that fall from space...
Today is the 4th day that I've been sat at home, not daring to go out as it's the 4th time they are coming to repair my TV within 2 months!!
Bought it last Oct (2004) is first went wrong at the end of Sept still under the years warranty, they fixed it 2 weeks later, 6 weeks after that it broke again and less than a week later it's knackered again. The first time they came out the didn't have the parts and had to come back.
The other times they've phone early am or day before to let me know a rough idea of when to expect them, today they rang at 11.30am to say they'd be here after 2.00. I'm so pi**ed off!!
I went to the store the other day to complain as according to C.A.B I'm within my consumer rights to ask for a replacement unit as it hasn't lasted for a satisfactory period of time, this Comet know but they still have to send out an engineer again - meaning me being trapped until they arrive. They are supposed to look at it, confirm it's the same fault again (which it is), phone their manager and write it off, give me a slip to take to the store and get a replacement, but at this moment in time I just can't see it happening.
Anyone know anything else about consumerrights? The guy I spoke to instore suggested I ask head office for compensation. is it worth a try?
