Have a foam party then!

Sorry, don't really know how to get it up, i guess it's just a matter of perseverence...

CountessDracula · 21/10/2003 16:06

sorry just realised how rude that sounded

coddy,

start by NOT adding water, blot it with kitchen paper (lots of kitchen paper), until it's nearly dry.

Then start with a damp cloth. keep blotting every time it foams. eventually you might have to give up, let it dry completely and then vacuum, or hire a carpet washer from the local drycleaners (unless you know anyone who'll lend you a vax.

Got to soak up the excess first tho'

Easy · 21/10/2003 16:12

oh, and if it takes the colour out, claim on your insurance.

codswallop · 21/10/2003 16:18

thanks.. youve been here then?!!

its ok cd...

well actually with us it was washing up liquid, but it's all the same except for the smell. In that instance it was my fault.

I know someone who did the same with cooking oil, which is harder still. they succeeded, blotting up, then using a carpet washer 3 times over a weekend, with fairly strong detergent. always left a peculiar patch tho.

oh, and when I was heavily pg i upset a whole bottle of milk at the foot of our stairs. My cleaning lady arrived as I was trying to mop it up, and thought my waters had broken

codswallop · 21/10/2003 16:25

No easy thats

Scrape the worst up with a knife (butter variety). Then blot with kitchen towel. when you see nothing blot with DAMP NOT WET cloth to get up rest. (DS2 brand new bottle of shampoo all over the bathroom carpet)
