AARRRGGGGGGG - Can i scream here please !!!

Woke up this morning to find my Central Heating boiler has broke .
Digital timer is dead as a dodo, tank is freezing, radiators are freezing, DD and I are freezing.

FFS, 2 weeks before Xmas, I really do not need this [we need a broke/skint emoticon for this]

Could it be just an electrical fault?Do you have any boiler cover?

that happened to me last year when my boiler broke a week before xmas and i had a 8 week old baba!!, had a electric fire to keep the house warm for 4-5 days whilst the gas man was on his duty

Any chance somethings went wiht the electric and it will all bounce back on with the electric trip switch or something? Or if your on a key meter ran out of eleccy?

Not a key meter no - we pay a monthly bill.
I tripped everything this morning to no avail - changed the fuse for the control system, no luck - rang a gas engineer to come out but luckily tried to trip everything again and it is now working. YEEHHHHH
Only problem is now the house wont be warm until about 7 pm tonight, takes ages to heat up once its been off.

I won't bore you with the details but I totally sympathise, have been plagued by bad luck the last few weeks too
