So that I can put the Christmas lights and decorations up while DH is at work today

Just been up in the loft getting the tree and lights down (decorations were already down) so I'm already to go.

Just one thing though..........I've alreayd worked out what I can tie the tree onto so that DS2 (2) doesn't pull it over. Apart from hiding it behind a large chair - is there anything I can do to try and stop him playing rugby with all the decorations that go on it???

do you have a playpen? Last year when dd was 18months we put it in there (otherwise unused ).....

nope - never had one for either DS - my boys are 'free range' you see

as it turned so is my dd...... we just thought we'd use it, but i realised i'm not that kind of parent.

they're fab for keeping christmas trees under control though, they never wander off lol.

I am putting off putting up the christmas tree, dts have just turned 2 and into everything. I think I after decorating it I will just lie it on the floor to save alot of hassle

LOL Snowfalls - that's a good idea.......but then it 's quite big - and our lounge area is quite small.

Anyhow - should get on - got the ladder for the loft at 1.50 - and so far all I've done is got the stuff down

oh well my dishwasher is still full from it's run during the night, the pots from last night haven't been washed, and there's wet washing in the machine - also done during the night.

I have been shopping this morning though so I can feed my boys this week LOL.

...just done mine too...the window cleaner came this morning then the sun started shining brightly...so showed up the filth on the inside...had no choice as my mums and dad are visiting tomorrow for a few days !!!!!

bgger, bgger, bgger - those stupid bl*dy sucker things that are supposed to hold the damn things on the window - only got about 8 that "work" - just had to come and try and find some clear sellotape for the twinkly lights
