My darling DD is growing up ! ( grand old age of 10 )
She has gone to her first real disco .... but it worries me a bit. She wanted to go with one of her mates who has just picked her up ....

OMG - this mate was wearing pink cowboy boots and a belt for a skirt .. bless her she was totally caked in makeup and IMO looked very tarty...

My DD went out in her jeans and a new top ... no lipgloss and mascara ... she's 10 FFS ....

SHould I have "dressed her up" a bit ?
She's still my litle baby but should I have prepared her better ?

Did your dd pick the clothes she was wearing or wasn't she bothered?

Some children just aren't interested in that sort of stuff and I dare bet the other childs mum woul have put her up to what she had on.

The mate hasolder sisters - so I guess that's part of it ... DD chose what to wear .. she was sooo excited. I just think that she is entering that horrid minefield - I am soooo glad that I am no longer in that arena .... hormones and boys and bitching mates

Awww it must have been hard watching her go.

I'm dreading all that business and the day dd asks for pink cowboy boots, a mini skirt and to be caked in make up for a disco!
