After much hype and everyone saying how fab it was we forked out the required 94 quid for 2 adults and 2 children aged 3 + 4 for a one day pass. We queued for the train down the steep hill instead of walking, queued another 40 minutes for a merry-go-round, didnt bother queuing for anything else as lost the will to live, spent 24 quid on 2 burgers/fries and 2 happy meals (never buy this crap normally but only food options are chips with everything), watched a good water show, trudged up the hill again as queue too long to get train back up and came home, skint, aggrieved and irritated at how overpriced, overrated, overcrowded it was. Anyone thinking of going, dont.

Here Here Trifle - I thought I was the only one who was disappointed with Legoland. We much prefer Gullivers Land - much better value for families.

Well I loved it - bit I had free ickets so maybe that helped, it is INCREDIBLY expensive. I went last Monday and didn't have to queue for anything. Loved the model village and the fairy tale log flume ride. Took kids aged from 22 months - 3 years and they loved it as did us mums. Sorry you had such a bad time Trifle. Will check out a website for gillivers land if you say it's good Kazziegirl, thanks.

We had free tickets for Legoland (via Tesco) and went in Sept on a Sunday. It wasn't that busy, the weather was very warm and we had a great time.
Ds's are 2 and 4, so didn't want to go on the bigger rides, but there was plenty to occupy them.
Didn't find the walk up and down the hill too much of a problem - and we were pushing a buggy.
Downside was the food - expensive and crap (80p for a bag of crisps). Next time we'll take a picnic.
Overall a good day out, but only with free or cheap tickets!!
Gulliver's Land is great for younger kids, costs about £9.00 per head and the food is cheaper than Legoland - £2.35 for kids meal (chicken nuggets chips and drink) or take a picnic. We live locally, so go there several times a year.

We love Legoland - have been 3 times ... but like others here never paid full price: It would be hard to justify that sort of expense. There are always offers around for this sort of thing - through Sainsburys or Tescos or Airmiles ... If you look around you can get offers for all sorts of days out entertainment these days - and then maybe that lowers your expectations a bit.

We went in summer and also found it very overpriced (though luckily the tickets were bought for us). Would only go again if we got reduced/free tickets
