Help. Need to make a halo by tomorrow

DD's an angel tomorrow at nursey. Got some tinsel and a coat hangar. Tried to attach it to a hairband. It sorts of towers above my head and looks weird. Something is wrong.
All suggestions welcome

no idea! but bumping for you! lol

is everyone else having elaborate structures on top of headbands? could you get away with making the tinsel into a circle and just putting it on her head? thats what we always had

Tortington · 08/12/2005 23:24

someone said they were selling them at boots the chemist if you can get there early enough?

tinsel on head sounds favourite to me

Stick tinsel to head with hairclips. Or if it has to stand above her head, stick it to a lolly stick then clip lolly stick to back of hair. Assuming that you have lolly sticks lying around, that is.

halos for sale at Boots, Adams and Claire's Accessories. About £2-3.
Agree with others tho, just make a circle with the wire and wind tinsel round.
Actually somebody with older girls than mine told me it is impossible to make a halo with a coathanger, you can't bend the wire, but that may be wrong.
I think a halo on the head is generally fine. My dd is Whoopsadaisy angel (as I keep saying! ) so I had to have a standy-up one so's I could bend it out of shape

We did lots and lots of tinsel wound round on itself in a circle till it sits on top of the head like a crown. Passes for a chunky halo.
