my dd starts school in jan..boo hoo and ive just realised this will probably mean packed lunches..its not that shes fussy but just shes used to having a cooked lunch at home and doesnt like school dinner types..shes very adult in her likes which im beginning to wonder how ill get over for packed lunches? can she take soup in one of those plastic flasks as she loves soup and its hot and nutritious but would the dinner ladies help her pour it do you think?
she doesnt really like sandwiches and much prefers a cracker with tuna mayo etc or salad and dips/ she also has said she wants her seafood selection for school lunches[ cold mixed seafood in vinegar..you get the idea? do you think shes going to be left on her own at lunch time because she s got smelly seafood which she absolutely adores and just because shes starting school shouldnt mean she has to change her eating habits ..do you think im worrying too much but i thought the soup idea would be a big hit for her ..what does everyone think? any ideas?

soup sounds complicated until she can deal with pouring it on her own.
seafood in vinegar sounds smelly tbh.

tbh I would send her with a couple of tuna mayo crackers or a pot of dip and bits to put in it. They need to eat fast and easy food at school lunch. Save all her fave things for when she gets home.

Train her to eat sandwiches! Maybe she would like half a pitta with hummus?

don't do the seafood - dd loves mackerel but all her friends told her her lunch was too smelly and they didn't want to sit with her! (she now has hot dinners).
