I've always wanted to have a scent that is so me - I am still searching for something that would be my signature - my best friend's is Opium - I usually wear Clarins Eau Dynamisante as a daily splash on, sometimes Clinique's Elixir Aromatique- I love anything with a woody(especially sandalwood) scent & nutmeg - what do other mumsnetters have as their signature ?(and don't say baby sick !)

Ummm, I LOVE Chanel 'Allure'. I don't wear perfume in the day but it is always applied when going out. LURRRRRRRRRRRVE IT. DH complains that it is expensive though, always asks 'Wouldn't you prefer a nice bottle of Charlie Red instead ?!' (said with tongue firmly in cheek!). Also really like Chopard 'Wish', it's in a nice bottle too.

Ooooo....sounds like a good topic for a thread....pity we can't "scratch and sniff" the screen!!

Chanel Allure for me as well - I went through a DKNY phase but it is a bit too "citrusy"

Girly · 18/10/2003 17:47

Bulgari, just love it

mieow · 18/10/2003 17:51

Sunflowers for me

I've not heard of half of these perfumes. Is there anyone else out there that rarely bothers with perfume, I naturally smell lovely.

Davros · 18/10/2003 18:47

Estee Lauder Knowing and Ralph Lauren Safari

For every day I like Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue and Sunflowers

Don't like the Issy Miyake type scent and can't bear Estee Lauder WHite Linen due to bad memories!

suedonim · 18/10/2003 18:52

I like Opium but prefer 'Ferre' by Ferre. Only one place in Scotland sells it - luckily I managed to get a humungous bottle in Jakarta, while we were there.

lou33 · 18/10/2003 18:52

Chanel No 5.

SpaceNK Woman or Allure. Or baby poo right now

hermykne · 18/10/2003 19:20

annik goutal eau de sud or chanel allure / no5

love them all and love getting them as presents!

candy · 18/10/2003 20:09

I bought Origins' Fret-Not which is lovely and orangey but the scent doesn't seem to linger long - am I doing something wrong? Would love to know what the coffee scented one is, sounds yum! Had a bit of a thing for CK's Contradiction but haven't seen it recently - is it still on sale?

Tissy · 18/10/2003 20:20

Penhaligon's Violetta. Makes me smell like a Parma Violet

pie · 18/10/2003 20:53

I love that scent Tissy!!!

Posey · 18/10/2003 20:59

Vanderbilt by day (been wearing it for about 16 years since got a free bottle as a Saturday girl in Boots)
Any of the Clinique ones if I've got more money or for presents (love "Happy"and "Aromatics Elixir", wasn't so keen on Wrappings which has been discontinued, and have yet to get the new one)

Eowyn · 18/10/2003 21:04

I wear Happy by Clinique, hadn't met anyone else who did.
Do perfumes go off after a few years? cos mine last forever but a little freebie bottle I have smells much better than the old bottle i've had about 4 years.

Frenchgirl · 18/10/2003 21:08

Guerlain's Pamplelune in the summer, Dyptique's L'Eau, L'Ombre dans L'Eau, Chanel No.5 and Allure.

hoxtonchick · 18/10/2003 21:27

daytime, jo malone honeysuckle & jasmine. evening, chanel no.19.

Marina · 18/10/2003 21:28

Frenchgirl, I love Pamplelune in the summer too! For winter I wear Mitsouko - I'm a Guerlain girl through and through.

OldieMum · 18/10/2003 21:39

I wear Guerlain, Mitsouko, too. Alternate with Chanel No.5

jodee · 18/10/2003 22:01

D&G Feminine and Allure.

Can't abide Angel, feel sick at a mere whiff of it.
