Kids London Model Agency

Dd has been accepted by this agency, and a bit of googling seems to suggest they are good. However, a friend who regularly works on film sets says it's strange that they don't want professional shots and that casting agents won't look at home snaps, so she thinks it's a bit dodgy. I don't know what to think. Does anyone have any experience of Kids London?

I'm biased because my kids are with KL but I've nothing but praise for this agency.

They're generally considered one of the top 3 agencies in UK, so if they've accepted DD then take that as a compliment and go for it! My kids have done Vogue, Pepe Jeans, Junior, John Richmond etc through KL - all great jobs that mean great souvenirs for the future when they're older and giving me grief :) The woman who runs the company has a great eye for the right kids and keeps the numbers low so you're not competing with stupid numbers for the same job (unlike some agencies I could mention who charge a fortune for the privilege)

So what do Kids London show to casting agents then? I'm confused.

My DD is also with KL and has also had great work. They charged no upfront fees and the pay is great from the jobs. We're very happy with them and find them very easy to to communicate with, as it's mostly text messaging.

We didn't have professional pictures, but good quality snaps have been fine and she has got lots of jobs.

Start a new one. Honestly, here people would much rather you started a new thread about something that has been covered than bump an old one. It's different to other places in that respect.

There probably aren't any new ones. If you really, really want to discuss this you need to start a new thread.

But as the other thread proved it's not going to go down very well. So my advice would be don't.

Are there not Child Modelling websites that have chat boards where you could talk to people who also do it?

I am not being bossy either, I just don't think there is a big interest in it on here.

I think 'Best before' hob. In this one's case I would have put a mark down sticker on it and dated it 22/8/11.

However, you had just bumped two zombies within minutes of each other, and that's a bit off, as you might have noticed from the other - now deleted - thread. It's nothing personal - you could be a longstanding poster, a newbie, a troll or a spambot - it's the release of multiple zombies that was unwelcome.

Sitting with my husband over a glass of red tonight "I bumped up two zombies and angered lots of mums'. I can't wait to see his expression. Thanks for your help, i'll start a new thread as I am interested to hear from other mums whose kids DO child modelling and their jobs/castings and experiences.
