Do you have a low-level grill? Turn it on when you see him going for his ciggies, leave the door slightly open and wait for him to lean against it. [evil emoticon]

I think it's the smoking itself that riles me most.

Could you add some oregano to his tobacco? It is only fitting, if he is going to smoke in the kitchen...

I've managed to confine his smoking to either the kitchen or the balcony - he says it's too cold atm to open the window!

I wish he'd stop for good - he keeps stopping then relapsing

At least he sounds like he is having a go at making sure that you don't have to smell his smoke all the time. A small mercy, but you've got to take what you can get!

Wish I could provide you with a sure-fire solution though.

Tell him to get on the balcony and smoke - I smoke - and always outside - if he's that desperate for one he'll put up with the cold.......buy him a nice wooly hat and some fingers gloves to keep him warm too
