Kilts - especially at weddings. A groom wearing a suit just looks odd to me. Nothing beats a kilt.
Sense of humour and being able to laugh at ourselves.
Water
Free prescriptions and no uni fees
Irn Bru

Men in kilts. Am detecting a theme.....

FannyFifer · 12/08/2011 19:57

Just joining in the love for all things Scottish. :-)

I love the East Neuk, all the lovely beaches and wee fishing villages, not forgetting the best chippy in the world at Anstruther.

Just love Edinburgh, the whole city, the view from Arthurs seat, the Scottish parliament building, think you either love it or loathe it, everyone should do the tour of it as the inside is amazing.

Macaroon bars & tablet, yum

LabMonkey · 12/08/2011 19:57

I'm in exile in East Anglia and the stuff I miss most:

Irn Bru in glass bottles
Buchaille Etive Mor
The Jolly Judge
Cally 80
Coffee Shop Appreciation Days in Edinburgh
Alien Rock (no decent climbing walls where I live now :( )
The Autumn Internationals at Murrayfield - and the cheapo tickets
Living in Edinburgh
Feeling at home

LabMonkey · 12/08/2011 19:59

Interesting that so many folks are saying Fife and the East Neuk - I spent my teenage years itching to get out, left at 17 and haven't been back for years. Maybe it's nicer when you didn't grow up there?

rainbowtoenails · 12/08/2011 20:01

That we would never vote for a Tory government.
