I was once told that if you address an envelope to a Mr and a Dr (where the Dr is otherwise a Mrs), the Dr should come first so Dr and Mr Blank. anyone know the correct way ? Just being pedantic with my christmas card addressing !!

I would just put initials !!!!!!

If you want to use the Dr and Mr then you're right - the person with the title is listed first.

i always think that that looks funy when i write it!

Apparently Doctor and Doctor should be addressed as The Doctors - eg The Doctors Jones.

I think I need to get out more ...

NEXT question then, if you usually put mr & mrs 'His Initial' surname What do you do if its Dr and Mr ? Whose initial do you put ??? His still or shall I just leave it out

(its only to a childhood friend - its not like its important but I'm on a roll now !!)

It should be Dr Jane and Mr John Jones.

WigWamBahhumbug · 04/12/2005 17:10

Or Dr J and Mr J Jones, whichever you prefer.
