Do you know if banks will still change old £10 and £5 notes?

yes they will. They will even change old £1 notes if you ever come across any!!!

Dp still gets £1 notes in his pay every week but then again we still see quite alot of them in Scotland. Hate when you hand them over to people and they look at you as if you are paying was monopoly money must be honest and say this is happens alot if you are in England and try and pay with scottish bank notes.

It's hardly surprising that people look at it like it's Monopoly money in England though. It's not like it gets seen a lot I'd never know if it was real or not!

The fact it says sterling on it means its real athough lots of shops don't seem to accept that.

I meant "real" as in "not fake" though. I have no idea what a Scottish note looks like. Just because it has sterling printed on it doesn't make it genuine.

Always used to accept them when I worked in Boots but just had to accept them as being genuine IYSWIM. And remember not to give them out as change - they went straight to the bank.
