As Lottie and I had our porridge together this morning which was about 30 mins ago I spoke to my 2 best friends and D who are all still out, dancing and having fun!

D went out last night at 9pm to DJ then straight on to meet up with friends inc my 2 best friends, and they are all at Turnmills having heard Frankie Knuckles and are now relivig the acid house days with Danny Rampling and his last ever gig as he gives it all to open a restaurant.

I'm very happy to be 8.5 months pregnant but gutted about the timing and wish I was still out too!

Ahh TC, know how you feel mate. This happened to me when I was heavily pg with DD. I seriously felt like crying!
Are you and Lottie doing anything today?

noddyholder · 04/12/2005 09:07

Blimey Thomcat that takes me back Danny Rampling etc was my time and place we probably crossed paths in that parallel universe!

THOMCATsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 04/12/2005 09:14

Ohhh so nice that you know where I'm coming from.
I have cried. It was so hard last night, I just had to go to bed after trying to take my mind off it on mumsnet. Then I woke up thinking about it having dreamt of it!

Danny is playing an amazing set, everyone there for the same reason, not just a random night out, tickets sold out months ago.

Lottie is spending a couple of hours with Grandpa and going to see my step-sister and my mum and I are going to Selfridges with out 20per cent off card!

Nice, but I know where I'd rather be!

I miss it sometimes too!For some reason that Madonna documentary put me in a bit of a mood for that very reason it reminded me of all the debauched glamour and although I love life with dp and ds I do sometimes miss it.Dp doesn't get it at all as he was in a totally different social circle and was playing drums touring in stinky rock bands whilst my friends and I were glamming it up in london You sound so happy with your life you are entitled to moan sometimes!Did you ever go to the Milk Bar?

Springchicken · 04/12/2005 09:36

Awww TC, I so feel for you, know exactly where you are coming from. You wouldn't think you could get like that over a night out but it really tears you up.
Such a big night to miss too

Anything nice on the shopping list at Selfridges then ?

Jasmum · 04/12/2005 09:45

I used to go to Glastonbury whenever I could, last year I was 8.5mths pg and watched it on TV whilst doing the ironing, I had little shivers down my spine as I watched...oh, how things change!

Thomcat, its crap isnt it? remember feeling the same when DP buggered of to Ibiza for 4 days when i was preggers with ds2, kept phoning me at random hours which made it worse. He has been again since ( last year ) and i felt a bit green with envy then aswell. Dont mind him having fun ( like i expect you dont mind your dp having a good time ) but it is hard when he is still doing something that you used to do together and that deep down you would still like to do!

why dont you plan a big night out for in a few months time after baby has arrived? ( may seem odd now! ) but it is nice to get out and be "YOU" not "MOM" every now again.

Have to tell you as im bursting at the seams with excitement - have not been out on a new year for 5 years- have managed to co-erce dp's mum into having boys over new year weekend so we can go to Hed Kandi.

its nice to go out, its nicer to have a cute little baby snuggling into you!

hope you and lottie have a good day TC. Thinking of you ( and thinking how rough your dp will be tomorrow!!) xxxx

LOL, you girls are great

Well D and my bessie got home about 4 this afternoon. I've not long been in and he's semi awake, at least D isn't working tomorrow but unfortunatley my bessie can't say the same!

I will well and truly tear the backside out of it as soon as I can, but it'll be a while as I'll be breastfeeding. I suppose I could express like mad for a while and then just ewxpress off all the nasty milk? Anyway, as soon as I'm able I'm out there, and not coming home for hours and hours and hours. Still won't be the Rampling retirement do but I'll make sure it's a biggie.

Noddy - The Milk Bar, yes I did hon', quite a few times.

Years and years ago, I used to go to The Limelight, Raw, Disccoteque, The Wag, Astoria.... they were the main ones. How about you?

Selfridges was mobbed but got a few bits, not actually Xmas presents for other people thought tbh, whoops! LOL
