ebay feeback - do you always leave it?

Just wondering, as I do.

However I have recently bought 3 items (12/22/28 November) and paid for all items same or next day. I have recieved the items and left feedback (positive).

However none of these ebays have left feedback for me. It kind of bugs me, as it only takes a few seconds to do, and they were more than happy to take my money, etc.

Is it the norm not to eave feedback for some people?

I always leave it straight away.

BoozyChristmacwoozy · 03/12/2005 16:52

I know its most probably not the right thing to do but I only leave feedback when others have done so first. I've had a negative before that I felt was very unfair, so am now wary.

katzglitterytree · 03/12/2005 16:53

i do

but i wait for the item to arrive

fuzzywuzzy · 03/12/2005 16:56

Sometimes if the seller is selling loads of items it takes time for them to leave feedback... however I have had a couple of people who never left feedback although the transaction went really smoothly....

Hulababy · 03/12/2005 16:57

That's the thing. I leave feedback the same day/next day after recieving the items. Haven't had people not leave feedback before (although not a frequent user) and then have had 3 in this past month

as soon i rcvd the item, check it over and is happy then i leave the feedback.

and most of the sellers leave feedbacks to me but we have the odd one where they dont bother

BadHair · 03/12/2005 17:27

I do if I remember, and if I don't remember the
MyEbay page has prompts on it. I'm not really bothered if someone leaves it for me or not - the main thing is that I bought or sold what I wanted.

julienetmum · 03/12/2005 23:39

I didn't leave feedback for one item that took q while to arrive and wasn't in particularly good condition, otherwise I do leave feedback as soon as I have received an item.

spidermama · 03/12/2005 23:43

I would politely ask them to do it when they get the time. This has always worked for me in the past.

I know sometimes it takes me a while to get round to leaving f/b as I don't always log on to My Ebay very often these days. Too busy MN-ing.

zebratwizzler · 03/12/2005 23:57

I frequently get "nagged" by people to leave feedback for them and it really irritates me.

If they are very pushy about it I often leave f/back for them that is a positive (presuming there were no problems) but then just a "." for a comment.

Ebay is not actually my life, you know.

There is a paranoid culture on the Ebay feedback forum, many people there will not leave feedback unless the other person has left feedback first (so they get a chance to neg the person if unfair f/back is left, iyswim).

I don't give a toss if people leave me feedback or not as long as whatever f/back they do leave is genuine.

FlameRobin · 04/12/2005 08:26

The only reason I don't leave feedback is when I have had an email saying "I will leave your feedback when I have recieved feedback from you" - it tends to p*ss me off and I get stubborn... I would have left it if I hadn't felt bullied into it.
