tassis · 03/12/2005 15:07

Think i might try some at the car boot sale and see. How much should I sell a bag for?

What is the difference between standard and luxury reindeer food?

Ah, I see the difference

DD got some great reindeer food as a going home post operation present last year (from your description, it would have been the top end of luxury) but not worth going through the op to get it again this year!!

I'll have to make some!

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 03/12/2005 15:27

Wouldn't use glitter myself as it's still plainly visible the next morning. And the morning after that and after that... sugar works and disappears!

tassis · 03/12/2005 15:28

loving this idea.

what do you put on the instructions?

Cheesey Rhyme Alert!

MAGIC REINDEER FOOD
Take this magic reindeer food and sprinkle on the lawn,
Santa?s magic reindeer must fly far before the dawn.
The smell of oats and crystal path will guide them on their way,
And you?ll wake up to Santa?s gifts next morn on Christmas day.

tassis · 03/12/2005 15:32

FANTASTIC!!!

I sense a new Christmas tradition coming on.

Love it!

If it doesn't sell at my car boot sale, guess what all ds' wee friends are getting?!

(did you make that poem up?)

Goodness no, I stole it from the internet 6 years ago along with the recipe and made it scan slightly better (only slightly mind you!)

I make it layered like those jars of coloured sand in old babyfood jars for DSs.

moondog · 03/12/2005 17:15

God MT..you're such a bloody show off.

Hmmmmmm am thinking that £1 a bag was obviously too much then?? Thought the children and parents would have a strong sense of philanthropy but obvioulsy not.

Right, remainder will be distributed amongst dd's classmates.

saffy202 · 03/12/2005 18:11

Our school sells it for 50p a bag with stars, glitter etc. They don't sell it at the school fayre but send a note saying they are selling it for a week or so. They've done it for years so I think they must make some money out of it.
